I ABSOLUTELY AND COMPLETELY LOVED THIS. And the stuff with Ariel? Fantastic! This was superb. I also love how you fit certain quotes from the show into unconventional conversation slots.

And I liked that you made August Emma's 'brother' and that David and Mary Margaret were *Soooooo* David and Mary Margaret.

Loved it! Funny, sexy, and smart. Those scenes at MM and Dave's house (the kiss, the fort) give me life. You are a very talented writer. So glad I got to binge read this all at once!

I just binge read this after seeing Mashtasins rec it in a chat... AND I ONLY JUST NOTICED IT'S YOU WHO WROTE IT. *bangs head*

This would explain why the writing was so familiarly wonderful.

The way it started out kinda episodic was really cute and nice. Felt a bit like watching Castle with a "mystery of the day" sorta thing going and then BAM ALL THE THEMES COME TOGETHER as tragic back storiesTM are revealed and August shows his sorry ass again.

August was the perfect balance of cool and caring older brother and absolutely jackass older brother. He was a lot of fun to be personally angry at.

AND SMEEEEEEEEE What a stupid useless excuse for a mutt. I have known dogs like him and he is adorable. And speaking as someone who lives with a skinny ass dog not meant for the cold: omg do skinny ass dogs not meant for the cold ever need those stupidly adorable sweaters. I just picture Smee shivering pathetically whenever the sweater is off but desperately trying to get at his itches when it's on. The thought of Liam breaking in and Smee being absolutely ECSTATIC because A PEOPLE was hilarious. Like that is one of the most well developed dogs as a CHARACTER I've seen that wasn't secretly a person transformed.

AND PILLOW FORT PILLOW FORT PILLOW FORT PILLOW FORT!

I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT MUCH FLUFF BOTH METAPHORICAL AND LITERAL!

I was all geared up ready for them to angst their way through that night and instead they fell asleep SNUGGLING IN A PILLOW FORT! Also all the "Dupe" jokes. Poor David.

And their drawn out pretending that they aren't and never were and aren't considering being a thing once August was back in the picture was great. Like August KNOWS he doesn't get to say shit after what he just pulled but it's EATING him because this is is Sister and his BFF and he hasn't got enough evidence to even make the accusation AND SPEAKING OF ACCUSATIONS

I FUCKING KNEW KILLIAN WAS LYING ABOUT THE 50$! But then Emma's lie detector didn't go off so I was like "huh, I guess August did do that" BUT THEN YOU DIDN'T JUST USE EMMA'S LIE DETECTOR AGAINST HERSELF YOU USED IT AGAINST ME! AHHHHHHHHH!

I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DID THAT!

Omg this is wonderful! I've read the whole thing over the course of a day and I've loved every single word. All of their banter is perfect. Well done!

This was such a great story. An amazing combination of an engaging plot, humour and feels. I also think you did a really great job of writing from both their POVs later on the story.

I am so SHOOK by this story! I laughed, I cried. I did BOTH at the same time... This was absolutely magical. I love EVERYONE'S characterization, even Ariel's. Even our brief introduction to August was thoroughly enjoyable! He's so damn annoying (thank you, Killian, for punching him whoop!) but also so hilarious, especially when he started to suspect something between Emma and Killian that I couldn't help but be endeared to him anyway. Basically, I thought they were all pretty damn brilliant and relatable, individually and together. And omg THE ONE LINERS THAT PEPPERED THIS STORY. I want some of them tattooed or at least put in a shirt XD And the way Emma and Killian's relationship developed was really thought out I felt and fpr the entire story as well. You made me feel like I was right alongside them and as a result, I truly enjoyed this story! Undoubtedly epic. Thank you so so much for finishing it, it was worth the wait!

I think I forgot to review when I finished this!

This was a lovely story! I had it recommended as "funniest CS-AU I ever read" (I think by phiralovesloki) and, okay, that got my expectations a bit too high, but I still really enjoyed it. I love a good bromance between August and Emma because that's exactly what they should be and sadly couldn't really be, due to not spending childhood together and that weird "beig transformed back to a child" thing.

I also enjoyed all the relationships to Graham and Milah and Snowing. At first it was weird to see David being a friend to Killian and Emma not knowing him, but it made perfect sense in your world. I also really loved to see the SB characters turn up in the different cases and all. Also evil!Ariel was a refeshing arc! (I just love AUs for putting all the characters and their relationships in new situations...and if that transition works well, even with its twitches, it's so satisfying!)

I also liked the pacing, and the growing relationship between Killian and Emma. How she was somewhere between "i have nowhere else to go" and "i really enjoy working and living with you" and how over time the one outgrew the other :)

And, last but not least, I like your way of storytelling. How you compose paragraphs and sentences, it's easy and nice to follow along and understand it and get involved into it :)

I LOVE this ending! Yay for both Emma & August getting great jobs and for Emma & Killian saying "I love you" to each other. Bravo!

I'm so glad I waited to read this until it was complete because based on your author notes about some of the time breaks between chapters I may have just about lost my mind waiting for updates lol! This was so great I literally read it all in one sitting! I love the way you write their conversational banter. So on point! Truely terrific job :)

The I love you was perfect. And I sort of wondered about the whole Killian accepting money to go check on Emma thing and then of course promptly forgot about it as I got sucked into the rest of the story but YEEEESSSSS. This has been such a pleasure to read. I don't know how you manage to combine the angst and the humor so freaking effortlessly but you do. And Smee. That god damn dog. It's such a wonderful use of the canon character in such an original way.

I laughed my whole way through this chapter. Just really, the sad Charlie Brown tree and the rest stop make out and August finally, finally getting it while Killian has absolutely none of his shit. I also adore that Emma's instagram is filled with pictures of the dog.

Also, "a bag of drowning cats" is how I'm going to define my singing abilities from here on out.
