Good story so far. Although why does Brandon blame himself for Lyannas death? I get Rickards but Lyannas? That’s on her on rhaegar.

Late Walder would be a tad foolish to do something like that so soon after Robert's Rebellion. He could have been easily accused of being a Targaryan sympathizer and face sack by might of North and Riverland.

Although the story is not being updated anymore, I make it my mission to set people straight about the twins ;)
It isn't necessary to cross the twins to get from the North into the Riverlands. Quite the contrary actually. The twins are west of the Kingsroads that leads to the Crossroad Inn and across the Trident into the Riverlands (close to Darry). The Twins are the only way to get to Seaguard from the North (unless you loop around towards Riverrun and then come north again).

In cannon Robb had to cross the Twins because from there he was able to head straight south towards Riverrun, which is in the western Riverlands. Plus Tywin was on the Kingsroad and Robb wanted to get past him unnoticed. Lots of people think that you MUST cross the twins to get south from the Neck, but wel... Such an interesting twist having Brandon live and Ned marrying a Frey. I look forward to more.

It's been a year since this was updated but I definitely have to review and let you know how interesting and amazing this story is.

I'm surprised I like Tyta and her very no nonsence and very matter of fact self and how that works so well with Ned and the North. Ned needed someone to be frank and truthful with and just knows how to watch his back. Her going South and keeping and eye on the court while Ned fights is just brilliant. That she's able to come up with an idea to cut off Cersei at the knee and then start her own counter rumors is lovely. She knows how to work with what she has.
