I just watched The Mummy in Film Studies! Well, not just The Mummy. We first watch the 1999 remake, then the original from 1932, then the second remake from just this year. I kind of like the second remake to the first. The first one has some amazing points that I love, but compared to the second it's not my favorite. Still better that the original in many places. I think the original had some great bits in it like the lighting looked creepier than both remakes, and The Mummy was so much creepier as Ardeth Bay than he was when they were two separate characters in the first remake. Also how Imhotep was so...well, he didn't carry himself as arrogant or omnipotent or like he had already won. He was slightly more cautious and knowing that his job wasn't done. In the first remake I liked how much more dead-looking The Mummy was and how he actually spoke, but not how he carried himself and his attitude. I loved how he moved around too. In the second remake, I like how The Mummy was a princess and she was trying to get power and bring to life the God of Death, Set. And all of the referenced like the Book of Life and Dr. Henry Jekyll/Edward Hyde. Just so good!

Anyway, I'm rambling about The Mummy...again...So! I love this story already! I also bookmarked this page just for that poem-y story. I like this C: Kudos!

Oh my god I love this story. You managed t not only make a crossover of ROTG and Harry Potter. But also of Labyrinth and The Princess Bride (my absolute most favourite movie)
