I would disagree that Homura is concerned about any of the other magical girls. As Sayacuck noted, Homura didn't actually care about saving her; Homura only cared about protecting Madoka from Sayaka's demise. She certainly was well past caring about anyone other than Madoka by the time of the series. The only value she had from Mami and Kyoko was their potential assistance in defeating Walpurgisnacht. She really doesn't give a shit about anyone other than Madoka. So I would recommend not playing up any selflessness from Homura. The only selflessness she has is that which comes with loving Madoka. I'd say love is the pinnacle of both selfishness and selflessness. But Homura is a psychopath (sociopath?) and cares for nothing but Madoka. Don't let her lose sight of that.

I always do like the Summoning Scene. Whenever I rewatch Fate/Zero, it always sends powerful chills to me. Your rendition of that inspires similar feelings, so I quite like that.

I look forward to seeing Gil (my personal favourite) interact with Homu, as I feel that her own convictions might impress him in a vaguely similar way to his feelings for Saber. Though I wonder if he might even take the opportunity to serve as a friend, or more likely, a sort of "older rival" type of character. Make her push her limits, and engage in really insightful conversation.
I mean, they need to have screentime together, right? Tokiomi and Kirei and all that jazz. Also makes me wonder how CBF will have diverged from canon by the time the Tokiomi assassination (when Kirei himself becomes an Assassin lol) takes place. Since Kirei's Servant isn't a throwaway this time around, you can't just make the "Eighth Contract" and be done with it. In fact, the whole character development of Kirei would have to be *substantially* different, since his primary influence will be Homura, and Gil to a far lesser extent, if at all.

(Tbh did Hassan even talk to him about anything but regular reports ever in canon FZ lul)

For a single moment I thought Madoka would be summoned as Archer again...

So I just read through and find it well written and has a good set up for the story onward, I probably won't follow and when the next chapter is released next year I'll forget what this story is about.

I only have two thoughts after finishing and that is what's the deal with the grief seed and madokas status as a master.

I find there to be no reason for homura to not 'recharge' it as she is not a magical girl or a counter guardian as of her summoning but a servant That uses noble phantasms who is a heroic spirit. Or is she? dun dun dun!

I'm also curious what servant madoka gets. And obviously nomura will put madoka above rin. Anything otherwise would just be silly.

Hmmm, I hated every single part about Alaya in this chapter.
