As soon as I watched the end scene, I thought, PTSD. I think you're leaning in that direction here with this story. It's sad to see how many people have demonized the character of Beckett for her actions (and the writers in the process), but there is some sense behind what she is trying to do and her reaction. I mean, hasn't she been through enough. And she plays tough. Something was bound to happen.

Yeah...just yeah.

Ooomph...I'm kind of speechless after this. Lump in my throat and all.

So much emotion and meaning in every single sentence. Love how your Castle is capable of seeing all the clues her actions left behind (whether she did it consciously or not). His realization that he always knew exactly who she was/is when he proposed and that it was when he didn't go after her that things turned out badly between them. (I admit, I wanted him to go after he on the show too, I might even have yelled something along the lines of "dude! she LEFT THE THE DOOR OPEN!" but I digress...lol)

And the texts he sends her. *sigh* : "..don't be blinded by circumstance and forget the one thing that holds: us."

"do you know how it guts me to have to distinguish that now? the first time you were shot as opposed to this last time."

And the end..."This is where I make my stand."

Strong, relentless Castle is amazing. That is all.

This is my favorite post ep for this episode by far it's literally so perfect I love it :) Phenomenal story.

I love this. It's a shame they couldn't do this in the show, too much internal monologue, and from the preview it looks like they're going lighter rather than dramatic, but good work.

Once again, I'm blown away by your talent. The song was perfect for this story.
