Great story

This was good! I love it when Tony calls Gibbs out on his b.s.

The "toiletpaper guest" sounds like a typical troll (since what he/she says about Tony, is ironically what Gibbs' character has become, and worse)... Not sure if that was the goal... Anyway, very angsty but good story. One shot? It's not marked completed, but it feels like it is.

Interesting. I actually felt that there should have been a conversation like this between them to make Gibbs realise that he was being unfair and rude to Tony, so this is a great story!

I really, really, wish, they'd done something like this on the show.
The whole 'I don't think you really want to do this' and 'I have reasons for doing this job, you don't' reasons they gave us for Gibbs driving Tony away never flew with me.
The way Tony just accepted it grated too.
I'm sorry to tell you Tony, but your relationship has been pretty Nasty for years.

Don't even get me started on actual exit arch. It was a bit of a slap in the face to anyone that liked DiNozzo. Then again his last few seasons were a slap in the face weren't they, given the loss of the Gibbs/Tony relationship so many of us loved.

I did like the whole Gibbs was worried about where Tony was bit, it was like he cared again! and then he ruined it by being petulant that Tony had done his job re: Budd
Anyway, I enjoyed reading this, it's a good start. Now to go read some of your other works :)

I have what you've done to Tony - whitewashed him into a bland and nauseating 'poor widdle me' piece of wet toilet paper.

please could you find the time to finish your stories you start so brilliantly then leave the reader hanging on for weeks months even years

Glad your back. I enjoy reading your stories. Long past time Tony stood up to Gibbs and put him in his place. I especially loved how Tony let him know that there was no coming back for him half ass like last time. In other words it sounds like Tony and Vance have both agreed that Gibbs won't be coming back until he is pass by a doctor that is not Ducky. And you know that is something that Gibbs won't like.

So glad you're back! Love your writing style, and I'm really looking forward to reading more of this story. It's great to see Tony written as the competent agent he is, who doesn't feel inclined to take more crap from Gibbs or anyone else. But, it's more than that, isn't it? Tony is at the point where he realizes who he is and that he can stand on his own when needed.
