Very poetic. It's frightening how jaded Hikaru can become, but I think it's realistic since he just keeps repeating the same thing over and over again. I especially like Kuwabara's POV in the story, the way he sees Hikaru is terrifying. Looking forwards to future works!

so hikaru just relives his life until the moment sai dies all over again? why can't he try something different to prevent sai's death? this is so depressing but i'd love to see more.

I think I would have liked to see this as an actual story, maybe with a happy sort of end.

In my humble opinion, this was absolutely brilliant. Granted, I am a sucker for time travel and also a long time fan of Hikaru no Go, but anyway: Thank you. I liked this story very much.

Love this, I must have read this when it was published but I have completely forgotten to review, shame on me :p. I just wanted to tell you how amazing this one shot was, it is such a shame it's not a serie. If you decide to make it a serie I will be the First to review.

Actually, I thought Sai's purpose was to train Hikaru to be the one to reach the Hand of God. My favorite ones were Akira's and Ogata's, though Waya's was almost my favorite too.

Actually I thought that it's his duty to reach the 'Hand of God' which is why he's been made to repeat this over and over again. The scene with Akira was the only solace I had. Else it was just too sad. I hope he doesn't end up as a ghost, too.

Huh. So Sai was aware each and every time? If his purpose was to teach Hikaru Go until Hikaru reached a level at which he could foster his own talent, then wouldn't Sai just never have appeared in future iterations? Odd.

It'd be hilarious to see a twelve year old beat elder Touya at Go though.
