Loved this story. Brilliantly written and unique. Once I started I found it addictive; I couldn’t put it down. The only issue I could find fault with was the title. It seems... well,... bland; no intrigue. It hadn’t any drawing effect. I only read this as a last resort due having read all the Hobbit stories first. Had it have had a title with a little flare, it would have been one of the first I would have read. I would have named it something like, ‘Rocking Middle Earth’ or some such like. I believe you might having an increase in readership. Other than that, it was flawless. Well done and thank you for sharing!

A note of cc, though: The very first paragraph really isn't the place for lengthy physical descriptions of your protagonist unless you're actively trying to make her a Mary Sue. It doesn't add much to your story-the rest of the chapter reads the same without it. I think it'd be better writing and less likely to set your OC up for reader hate of you removed it. Instead of 5 foot 2, say short. Or, instead of saying it outright, show us Bec struggling to do a simple task due to her height-setting up her tent, picking berries, etc. so we know without explicitly being told. Instead of 'not seeming fat', just leave it at generously curvy-that last bit seems fat-shaming and is alienating to readers. We don't want a perfect OC, we just want someone we can relate to, our own version of Bilbo Baggins. Bilbo is the reader stand in in the actual Hobbit books, and he's a fifty year-old, portly bachelor with no prospects or camping skills and has hairy feet!
