I just found this story and I loved it, it was so cute. Tony say's he's sentimental near the end. It is so easy to see if you think about it. The shoulder holster he wears, the movie he watches every Christmas. So the sombrero in it's own way saved their lives. Yes, it is very easy to see Tony saving the sombrero and taking it home.

Ah, your descriptive prose, still as vivid as ever. I felt seriously sorry for that poor sombrero! It would have been nice if you'd lingered a while on what Tony was wearing (you know, tuft of chest hair peeking out and all that) but I suppose we were meant to watch that mini-film first and get our visual from there. No matter, I still got my action Tony and was glad that he rescued that hat. So much to talk about, indeed...
