There is litterally no reason Dante should've lost, also no reason to make him half angel. In Devil May Cry, Devils and Demon are extra-dimensional beings. They have an entire reality with stars, planets, etc. One higher class demon could destroy the human world within a year or so. A Devil could so in a much shorter time frame. Of course, Mundus wanted to conquer and rule the human world then use it as a staging point for the rest of our dimension which is the only reason Earth still existed. Mundus, the primary ruler of this Hell Dimension although not the only ruler, was considered a God Emperor. His only rival was his General: Sparda, Dante's father. Dante eventually surpassed his father's power. Holy Artifacts and Holy Water failed to effect Dante due to his noble motivations, unlike his brother Vergil whom when he turned against humanity directly was harmed by Holy Water yet when he was merely selfish and callous earlier on in his life couldn't be harmed by Holy Water. Only when he directly intended to harm mankind as a whole was he harmed by holy water. In short, Dante wouldn't be overly harmed by light spears and his body would ignore it like any otter biological injury. Also, Dante can stop time for thirty seconds if he wanted to. And one more thing, his Devil form looks exactly like his father's; his form in DMC3 was a larval stage. To sum it up, you just wrote the equivalent of Superman getting knocked out by Killer Croc with no magic or kryptonite. Dante's only rival in dxd is The Beast and the Infinite Dragons.

That moment when you defeat a Universal Demon King (Mundus), Former Demon King that was stated to Transcend all things (Despair Embodiment) A being that Rivaled the Demon King (Abigail) Have Regeneration so Godlike that you can survive being impaled 100 different times and heal instantly, but still lose to Absolute Fodder that even DmC Dante would one shot. Guess who's story is getting dropped.

That might have been a bit harsh but tagging a character op and then making him lose to a bunch of nobodies is insulting to the character to say the least. Even if Dante did have to protect issei , he could have easily killed all the fallen in the blink of an eye... and that isn’t an exaggeration. It would be better to rewrite this story rather than continue it.

Okay, No. Just no. First off, Raynare is nowhere fucking near fast enough to dodge base Dante. Devil Trigger is faster than light, and Majin is MTFL. Ebony and Ivory would hurt fallen, I believe, and even if they didn't, Rebellion sure as hell(XD) Would have. The tag said OP Dante? Calling bullshit. Raynare and her groupies are the weakest characters. They should be flattered that even look at them. And beating him? Welp, you just lost your story a reader.

This is a really bad story. You might as well create an OC. Dante is easily one of the most powerful people in his universe. To put him in the DxD world, that fact wouldn’t change. You shame yourself and Dante.
