I am hopeful that you will get around to writing more on this story. But where you do fill my hope I will be waiting to read it.

So there's three versions of Cloud all in little Cloud's head? I admit it, I did get a bit confused at that part.

I love how you portray Cloud's child like personality. The way he blows raspberries, kicks stones, has temper tantrums, is absorbed into play and distracted by small, pretty things. Along with his reliance on authority figures. His task spurred on by what he thinks the older versions of him want.

I also think it's really interesting how different the three personas are and how thei all have their own agendas even though they mostly align.

I look forward to seeing where you plan on bringing this and kudos for continuing to write it even after so long and so much.

What are these Alpha and Beta morons. Some useless.

Hm. So guessing its going to be a big arc at some point in which all the minds fully become one again and repair his currently shattered soul into something new. Neat.

What a wonder full story so far. There are several reasons I like it, and part of it is the very distinctive individuality between all there four Clouds. I love the way you write child!Cloud, he's so innocent and brave, yet he's still very much a child, acting immaturely and making mistakes. Pouting and being afraid of being scolded and also very much going along with what the other versions of himself are thinking. Unable to grasp the bigger picture or think too far ahead or judge the consequences of his actions all that well. Although the trauma that he experiences are still very much within him he is still able to switch o his child mode and have happy, carefree moments where he can laugh and enjoy himself in the present without too much thought about his dreadful situation.

What I really like about the other characters is how different they are from each other, but they do to a certain extent resemble one another. Alpha, like you said sees the bigger picture and is inclined to overlook the small details and skip over the little sentimentalities. Just like he didn't go check on Vincent in the basement.

Beta is headstrong, bloodthirsty yet seems to have a strong sense of justice or that is at least what I gather from his actions so far. He doesn't think too far ahead, yet he can also face the truth head on and hand it out just as easily though he may spit whomever in the eye first.

Gamma is the more illusive one of the bunch and harder to put a finger on, but he definitely seems to be the one who is most sentimental of the bunch and seems to have the heart capable of caring and treasuring in a way that Alfa and Beta are no longer capable of.

What I really like about the three as well is that they don't always agree with each other and can give contradictory advise. It shows their imperfections, but also their individuality. I also love the variety it brings into the mix.

So far Alfa and Beta have been the ones to put Cloud in trouble I wonder if Gamma is up next? (No need to answer that)

This story is in man ways very dark. Things go wrong, people are nasty and the injury and pain Cloud goes through is vividly described. It's got the kind of atmosphere I'm used to being in M rated ficks though it's not quite there yet. However, the bad things that happen aren't unreadable. I've seen stories where the author almost seem to go out of their way to plague the main character, making every one they know unreasonably cruel, abusive and sadistic. Though some of the things that happen to poor Cloud, especially in his escape from Nibelheim could have had their place in such a fick. There is also some restraint to it, shown in the way the people of Gongaga weren't quite as willing to hurt Cloud in the same way, nor were they all okay with seeing it go as far as it went. The kindness that Cloud comes across from Bugenhagen and Zack's family also balances the bad out a bit.

The things that Cloud experienced are truly horrible, things that no child should experience. What is worse is that the worst of it really was brought about by going along with what his other selves. But at the same time the things that Cloud experiences Could well come to tug on certain key figures heartstrings and influence the them in way that Alfa, Beta and Gamma never could.

The fact that Zack is convinced that Cloud wasn't behind the reactors destruction may make the truth come as a big sledgehammer to know on Zack later on. I can't help but think that Zack won't feel even a little betrayed since he partially replied on that magical intuition thing in his trust for Cloud. I imagine Cloud will have a bit of a harder time not to give away his secrets to Zack during their travel time. Not only did Zack just say that Cloud will have a hard time finding privacy around him, but he's really got things to hide, like the materia he's got along with the voices he's got in his head that he is just now starting to learn to respond to mentally. On the other hand, it's good practice for when he reaches Shinra.

Love the way you write this and I look forward to reading more of this when you get around to updating this.
