AwaitTheRise chapter 1 . 5/27/2015
Whoah. Whoa. I wish I could italicize that. But I am in love. Not that I don't already think that every word you type is fit for a Queen's table. But. it's just. Dragons.

Dragons have always fascinated me. There's something about them; the snake-like, hypnotizing grace, the quick brutality, the feral beauty. (Not that they actually exist.) And dragon riders too; that audacity and willingness to enter a dangerous partnership with a being much stronger than them.

Combine that with (my favorite character) Hermione, who's growth from an insecure, scared and determined girl to a strong woman I'm dying to see, and intriguing Pansy, who (I also have a soft spot for) might be just as dangerous as the dragons (but still terrified) and I'm hooked. And a sprinkle of Dramione, just to make things closer to heaven! I seriously won't mind if you forgo "seven chapters " and write a hundred. Or, you know, two hundred.

The moment before entering the cave reminds me of a few scenes from Harry Potter- most noticeably before the first Sorting and of course, during the Triwizard tournament, before they go to get the golden eggs. Probably due to the fact that they are both trials of a kind, testing not only knowledge but strength of character and personality. I really hope you don't skip over the trials and actually show them. :) Also, that little bit with the Chinese dragon? Am I sensing a bit of foreshadowing there? Maybe Hermione gets it, or Pansy does and Hermione helps her research. ;)

I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on this. Thank you for writing it!
