I feel you absolutely nailed Petunia and Vernon's personalities. I can picture that exact thing happening. I know that if I were Dudley or his wife, I would never go to their house again - I'd cut all ties to them before letting them be cruel to my child.

oh my Petunia and Vernon take the cake especially Petunia. It gave me chills especially the last line. "She done just fine with one son in life she reasoned, why should only having one grandchild be any different?" Wow in a blink of a eye Petunia completely writes out her grand-daughter. Talk about callous. Well done job. I hope you continue with this.

Vernon and Petunia are the worst sort of Muggles indeed. Very bigotted about the Wizarding World. Almost as bad as the pureblooded wizards.
