Wonderful variation to the series. I love the mixture of angst and humour. Dragoon is an absolute riot. Morgana is having way too much fun (the damsel in distress in the previous chapter just cracked me up). Arthur is brilliant at recognising what Emrys/Dragoon is actually up to. Good to see Merlin is getting out of his depression. There is some light at the end of the tunnel.
As for Uther? The guy is a dangerous nutter.

Well old man Simmons is still a thorn in Merlins side. Thank heavens that the village women took matters into their own hands to remove him when necessary. Good to see.
Arthur is such a fool. I cannot believe the rubbish he comes out with regarding magic. No wonder Merlin despairs. Will he ever change the Prince? I wonder.

Loved this chapter. What an brilliant idea of putting Will as Merlin and Merlin as Emrys/Dragoon. I did wonder what would happen if Will was to be injured and you covered this very well by having Morgana take the bolt and be healed by Emrys. Well done.
I still feel for Merlin and all his conflicting emotions. How can one young man go about changing his world? Such a lonely situation for him.

It is a shame actually that Gwen and Morgana are crashing his return to Ealdor. I would loved to see some Emrys BAMF - maybe I still will.

Have to love Merlin as the old sorcerer. Giving Arthur hell is all worth it. I do understand Mordred wishing for Merlin to not meet the Druids. He is a smart boy.

An interesting chapter - so much happening. I feel for Merlin over Edwin. He finally felt he had found someone to teach and confide in (other than Gaius). So sad that Uther has caused so much hate.
Gaius working out that young Merlin is so much more than what everyone sees was brilliant. Loved it.
Glad to see Merlin giving Morgana a little hope too.

I just want to say that I love your story so much. The plot is amazing and I love how everything is playing out so far. Can’t wait for more.

And mmm...Uther’s taken many steps back. Arthur’s no longer looking up to him, Morgana’s in an awkward position of pseudo divinity, and just...he’s a villain again. Poor Arthur.

I really enjoye how this chapter, and the whole book for that matter, were written. The aspect of not giving a blow-by-blow recap on this you didn’t change made the reading very enjoyable and I really appreciate it. Your writings style is one I enjoy and hope to read a lot more of.

I enjoyed these last two chapters very much! I always thought the show glanced over a lot in the Gwen-Morgana relationship. And Emrys' melodramatics were just hilarious! xD
