I just remembered that lilies are a very important and prevalent and recurring motif in Tokyo Ghoul, what with the spider lilies being a metaphor for ghoulhood and rize's influence over Kaneki while white lilies were his humanity and compassion

it's Tokyo ghoul, and this is Rize. Between the many, many socio/psychopaths that make up Tokyo Ghoul's cast, the ones I can recall that can make something like this wholesome instead of horrifying are Rize, Juuzo, and Eto

Ooh, ooh! Rize isn't actually dead! At least, not in the manga. Apparently, she wasn't actually killed when the girders full upon her. The person who tried to kill her failed, and she was picked up and chained away in an isolated location by Yomo/Anteiku! So there's a perfectly good reason why Miharu can have a happy ending, if you ever decide to come back to this

Meh, the story was far more enjoyable when him and Rize were wreaking havoc.

Why didn't they just kill him. I mean Rize has her insatiable hungry and is very protective of Miharu. Miharu is also extremely fucked up and he threatened Rize. It seemed awfully out of character for both of them.
