Reviews for Hogwarts Prefers the Mongoose
excessivelyperky chapter 1 . 9/30/2018
Nice one-shot; though my opinion is that Albus let Umbridge run riot so he would look good in comparison when he graciously decided to return (and I bet that Minerva has been *thinking* it).

Good tour of the magical kingdom, especially the sorts that benefits by being looked at from a *very* long distance. I suspect that Minerva has not thought through the idea that Snape has a mini-Hogwarts going there in Slytherin-and I would bet twenty Galleons that Pomona does the same for her badgers (not that Minerva is paying any attention to what Snape is saying about badgers).

Granted, she is Deputy Headmaster, and probably has more than usual paperwork burden with Umbridge there and Albus not.

But you'll notice that Snape didn't mention his Other Duties on top of all his others there at Hogwarts (not to mention extra potion brewing for the infirmary when the students' stuff isn't up to snuff) though Minerva attends Order meetings at Grimmauld Place herself. Naturally, she doesn't seem to think they count.

They all like eating frogs and toads!
Fenris Jin chapter 1 . 2/6/2016
This was a very fun read. XD

I certainly enjoyed how Severus and Minerva interacted. Very light-hearted.. of course that isn't including Severus sadistic glee over Umbridge's fall or the Ratel's very interesting hunting habits. Those were rather dark. XD

I love the House of Slytherin, especially the system they create within their own and Severus' position as Head of House and how he utilizes it to assist his Snakes. :)

Mell0n chapter 1 . 9/2/2015
*insane shrieks of laughter*
Merlin, that was... unexpected. And hilarious. Hey, I'm a Hufflepuff. I can eat Slytherins and chase Gryffindors.
Oh, Merlin, I can't stop laughing.
duj chapter 1 . 3/16/2015
If Slytherins had a chip on their shoulder, it was because Gryffindors were running the school ... "for the Greater Good".

As for Hagrid, Slytherins would be fools to trust him with their questions. He is, after all, the sort of person who'd try to turn a boy into a pig because the father offended him, and he's been slandering their house since before Draco - or Lucius, probably, because Hagrid's Slytherin-hate dates back to his own schooldays - even started at Hogwarts:
"Better Hufflepuff than Slytherin. There's not a single witch or wizard who went bad who wasn't in Slytherin. You-Know-Who was one..."
Karakehribar chapter 1 . 3/16/2015
I am entertained, intrigued & mystified, by turns.
