I'm sorry, but I feel like Annabeth is being a bit too much like a baby. This entire situation is upsetting and taxing on her, but she's still a strong character.

Well, if Leo didn't burn the damn thing than they could have used it. I am picturing a circular hole by the way. If they had a map of the same size then they could have put the spell map over the normal map and found the center of the circle. Which, in theory, should be death valley.

Fun fact: I was in death valley and I found a side road that had a sign which said 'do not enter' and went into the distance. In the distance there was this shiny, flat, odd building.
