Invader Johnny chapter 1 . 3/6/2015
Well the fear of a stranger in the house is very realistic considering that indeed Jade wouldn't not leave the door open, so the question is, could it have been tbat the door was beginning to fall apart due to possible over-slamming?

Just a theory there.

Pit bulls make good, friendly guard dogs. Depending on how they're raised and trained, they can be gentle until they need not to be. As for the breakin, yea, it's possible the door was just not latched properly, but just as likely someone triedvto get in, and someone else scared them away. Be safe.
Lushcoltrane chapter 1 . 3/6/2015
Having been the victim of a daytime home invasion several years ago, when I lived in Long Beach, I can understand their worry. I was more angry than scared though - my stereo & 2 expensive cameras were taken, one housemate lost some old rings & about $100 cash & the other nearly $300 cash & his checkbook. And the SOB drank my last beers!

Good story. Good to have a cop on your call list too (especially if it's your father) - quicker than 911.
