If you want to make people really cry, you should make a follow-up chapter with everyone elses's reaction. I bet Kida-kun will blame it on Izaya in his cute, painfully hurt way. And cry in Saki's arms *Chuckles* I wonder how Mikado would react... Maybe he'd understand, like he always do, and be happy for them. Or smile sadly. Does he believe in an afterlife?

Did he die of heartbreak? Literally? Cause that happens. People can get so heartbroken that they just... wither away. Sometimes it's gradual, perhaps a month, to a year or more, and other times... not so much. How did Izaya die? This isn't connected to your other story, What Happened Izaya? Is it?
