Riser wouldn’t be able to lay a hand on her or her Peerage without point-blank power of destruction. At the end of the day, any laws letting him force himself on her or her peerage only go so far as they can be enforced. Few devils could enforce those on her and those that can would be too afraid of big brother expressing his...displeasure. |

The good ones execute innocent children to sate their wounded pride (Koneko), let innocent children be murdered so they can be tricked into being loyal slaves (Issei), and show up after tragedies to mooch off the suffering of others to increase their personal power with loyal slaves who don’t realize they’ve been duped (Kiba, Akeno). Come to think of it, the only devils we’ve seen in the series who can honestly be considered “good” are the reincarnated devils. The apple truly does not fall far from the tree. Even the reincarnated ones tend to be suspiciously devoted to even shitty kings. Plus the king piece canonically forces the Peerage to be obedient. The “good” for devils in DxD is deeply evil by human standards. The audience is often distracted from this by tits and fanservice as well as the cast’s current adventure. |
