Addicted to Potter fanfiction, but, why, the hell, not.

I'm really intrigued by this concept. I know this is a one-shot, but now I almost want to try writing it! Thanks so much for writing!

It's so disgusting and dirty. Save the world again at Snape's expense. And if he existed already in this world, then he will not disappear because he lived well when his parents were still children. If he made the world a better place, then he could have faked his death and hated himself in this time. He is an old man, he has lived his life as he wanted and could. And so there is no war and he still wants to be born and live in a family, but at the expense of Snape. Snape so much gave in war and Harry and now again have him all took away. Harry is selfish and vile. He could have made a better world and given the Professor the happiness that his father, the marauders, and Albus and Harry had taken from him. I wish I hadn't read it. Harry was sacrificial, not selfish. And Harry has recreated and changed so many factors that it's far from a fact that James or Lily won't accidentally die or Lily won't get pregnant from another. Or Harry amortentia mom would pour? I don't believe that if Harry isn't born the time change is reset to zero. Changes will already remain as other people besides Harry participated in these changes. Other people have a different effect on time because of Harry's intervention. Your text says that everything is a foregone conclusion. And it's the ethos that Harry should return. But this is garbage and just a selfish desire to have a family at the expense of Snape's happiness. Harry's voice is no better than the Dark Lord's.

I wrote my bachelor thesis about time travel and time travel is actually more complicated topic. There are also different theory what happens to time traveler when he/she try change the last. Personally I think saving Merope or changing Riddle Sr. attitude would chance a lot but I don't want to to talk about theories because it's not the point.

Anyway I like your story and the fact that Harry still wants Snape in his life and that he wants better life for Snape. Although I really would like to see how changed future would be for our characters.

Lily? Forgiving? Snape would be far better off moving on and loving someone who already loved him back. Remember, Lily didn't care if he was eaten by a werewolf, just that James was heroic *before* the M-word.

But Harry still doesn't realize that even after seeing the memories. Ah well, that's Harry for you.
