Reviews for An Extraordinary Man
Estel-Ara chapter 25 . 7/2
If we take Dumas’ word on it, a wound to the shoulder is very grievous and incapacitating (look at Athos’ wound to the shoulder in the first chapters of the book), but probably depends of the position and depth of the wound…
Still, I find it a little exaggerated when one man, hurt, tired and unwell, takes down fit men and decent fighters… especially if you draw a parallel between Athos’ fight with Baudin’s men (when Athos needed d’Artagnan’s help to end the fight, even been in an excellent physical condition) and d’Artagnana’s fight with them (who almost finished his fight without any aid, even been in a very bad condition for days on end now)…
Estel-Ara chapter 22 . 6/16
You played Athos bad here, very bad. First, he loses faith in d'Artagnan to easily and rapidly, especially when he was the first one to become suspicious about Baudin... Now he acts as a cadet who knows nothing about tactics and strategies and doesn't take in consideration all the information he has access to it...
Guest chapter 18 . 6/4
You made Athos seem heartless...
We see his reaction just from his brothers POV... we don't see or feel even for a split second what he feels, what happens in his soul and in his mind as we see with d'Artagnan and at least Aramis, Porthos been the one with complete faith în their you ster and as such with little to be e posed...
Estel-Ara chapter 16 . 6/1
All (writer, readers and brothers) worry for d'Artagnan... Non îs doing it for Athos, even if he îs emotionaly hurt just as badly as d'Artagnan...
Athos never doubted d'Artagnan loyalty, just how he acted on it, și I think it would have suite it him better the emoțional batle between his trust în d'Artagnan loyalty and the lack of proves of saidloyalty than that certitude on d'Artagnan's treason... (I think you make Athos's character a deservice with his lack of trust on his young compagnion, even if you probably wanted to play on those three posibilities: the one that trust without questions (Porthos), the one that has doubts but still want to believe (Aramis) and the one that doesn't trust (Athos)...)
And would have better suited the part of "all for one" of their devise...
Guest chapter 13 . 5/25
It's hard to believe Athos didn't become instantly suspicios after hearing d'Artagnan say he will stay with Baudain! Especially when he always had had such strong faith in d'Artagnan's loyalty, but knowing how he rushes în his actions...
Guest chapter 4 . 5/12
Why is d'Artagnan so stupid? Why can't he confide in his brothers? Why is he hiding his hurts?
Guest chapter 3 . 5/11
So Athos start to become suspicios...

I love your musketeer stories - enjoying this so much!
Anny B chapter 26 . 4/7/2018
I enjoyed the story very much. It showed the depth of the relationship between the men, even though they were at odds. You really did explore the 'One for all' in their relationship.
theredwagon chapter 26 . 9/23/2017
Wonderful story!
The Red Fedora chapter 26 . 10/14/2016
As exausting as it is brilliant.
British Chaos chapter 26 . 8/29/2016
This was awesome! Thank you :)
Winter1066 chapter 26 . 4/11/2016
Wow that was great. Now I have to rethink all of what I wrote. I think I write too much as author as God. Or I switch to different POV and don't know it. Ack!
