Backstory! Don't we all love it? In the case of something like this, it was sorely needed. Still, I just got a whole lot of exposition shoved down my throat. I thought this would be more difficult than that to resolve some issues. At the very least, Setsunai has her magic back. She might not be much help, but she wont be completely defenseless.

Melusine. Hmm...How is she related? Did the Grabiners kill her? Did one steal her easy from Sama'el? Who was she? A sister, a lover, a friend?

Well. Damn. Melusine? A former lover of "Sam", perhaps?

I doubt the rescue mission will take an entire summer. Summer is four months long. Also, under the circumstances, I do not think Hieronymous would mind if Aloysius was contacted. The elder Grabiner probably knows how to help deal with the situation.

Actaully, how does that curse work? The magical world isn't against same sex relationships. It seems to be common there. In that situation, who is stolen and who does the rescuing?

Why didn't Grabiner's father tell him about the curse before Violet died? Wouldn't that be a good thing to tell someone? Even if he didn't think would fall in love anytime soon, it seems like a conversation to have when he hits puberty. Does the curse apply to female family memebers, as well?

What in the world did the Grabiners do to get that curse placed on them?

This one started with a bang. So, he was married before. How old is he?

That is the question, isn't it? Why do those experiments in a public place? Why hadn't Potsdam noticed? She came running shortly after, so she had some way to sense something was wrong. Why hadn't that gone off before?

I reallt like it so far. Your Grabiner family curse is unique and interesting. I am sitting here wondering how they got cursed. I love you level of description and I am terrified of what that Manus might try and do. Please keep writing.
