Reviews for Desires of the Heart
Guest chapter 1 . 8/21/2016
I know this is an old fic, but I stumbled upon it and wanted to let you know how much it has haunted me, just in case you're still around. You're a wonderful writer and I hope you still write to this day!
Tuesady chapter 25 . 7/24/2016
Thank you for this. I've never watched Gundam nor read any related fanfic, but this one drew me to how relatable the characters were. I agree with the solemn and mature ending reminiscent of personal experiences of first love. Somehow I don't care to ask for an installation. This is very much close to every day life, an experience for those who age and go through various relationships and sources of strength in life. Thank you for a sincerely written work.

This is amazing. Absolutley amazing. continue to write more because I am a huge 1XR fan forever.
kansa chapter 25 . 3/8/2015
This story means so much to me that it actually affects my marriage. During the stressful points I don't feel in sync with my husband. The glorious times I am euphoric and constantly wanting to show him I love him. And the ending depresses me for at least a few days. This is the second time I've read it and I'm not sure if I will read it again; it is extremely challenging emotionally but beautiful all the same.
Atolie chapter 25 . 7/2/2014
Well I haven't read a Gundam wing fanfic in a long time, and this one was probably the best so far..only thing i have to complain...was a really sad ending!...wish you had an epilogue! or a teaser! something! :)

Thanks for the great read!
Ninjette Twitch chapter 25 . 2/8/2014
This story was a little rough for me to read. It hit the heart so many times. But that should tell you how great it is to touch me like that. You really are a great writer! Bravo!
Feli3 chapter 25 . 7/22/2013
I must say well done well done well done! I was partially upset by the turn of events toward the latter half of the story. I was hooked and felt much like Relena in the beginning so naive and willing to believe that it was a fairy tale romance. At last at the end of the story I am reminded of the novelist saying "what begins as a tragedy ends in happiness and what begins in happiness ends in tragedy." You write extremely well and I look forward to reading other material by you. Thanks for sharing a beautiful story.

Wow, once again your perspective blows me away.
I actually found myself crying at the very end with their final embrace and goodbye.
You managed to capture the roller coaster of emotions that are present in relationships, but especially first relationships. It's a beautifully heartbreaking event but none the less something I think everyone can relate to and a necessary stepping stone in life.

As for the characters being Heero and Relena...I consider myself to be a 1xRForever fan. However I actually like this story BECAUSE they break up. You intimately addressed some very real concerns that more than likely WOULD be present in Heero as well as Relena and their relationship. It's something that I think a lot of us diehard fans either don't think about or just choose to ignore. Regardless it's equally important to have it addressed. Painful? Yes. But then again, so is life and even in all the pain you have managed to somehow make it beautiful. In life that rarely if ever happens. So, in a way it sort of has a happy ending...which is yet another testament to your extraordinary writing talent.

Speaking of your writing...reading this story marks my completion of reading all of your Gundam Wing stories. I have to say that my favorites are as follows:
Relena's Decision because of the strength that Relena portrayed.
Heart of the Sword because of Heero realizing and accepting it.
Temper the Soul because of Heero manning up and deciding to take Relena and his imaging the kiddies...swoon!
Distracted was just intense and awesome!
Amour was beautifully intense and wonderful!
Final Mission Status was my original favorite because you progressed it believably but stayed true to the character's soul.
Last Goodbye because of how you ended it, dark but beautiful.
Fated was even darker but I like it because of the truth beneath the writing.
Heero's Proposal is one of my favorite's because the awkwardness between them is gone, they are real and straight out with each other and I think that a lot of us would like to see this couple like that more often.

As for future GW/AC stories from you I would love to see a story with Heero and Relena with kids. THAT would be a real GEM!

So much happens in this chapter! Convergence indeed! Love it
Revy679 chapter 15 . 3/26/2013
You're so incredibly good at writing this subject matter where it's unmistakable yet so vague and still keeps it interesting.
Revy679 chapter 12 . 3/26/2013
Yes, you certainly do have a way of slowly laying out the details in a fashion that almost resembles torture, but it is always relevant to the point. Your writing is detailed and that is honestly part of it's charm. You truly take the reader on a journey that envelopes them in your world and that is one of the reasons (no doubt) that so many (myself included) are so captivated by your writing. -
Revy679 chapter 5 . 3/25/2013
You really captured the feelings of a first date. *Butterflies* -
Revy679 chapter 3 . 3/25/2013
Reading the Mandred Chronicles, I thought part of Mandred's sentence was to go back and help Heero confront his feelings about Relena because Heero, unlike Mandred and his people, do not have the same kind of time. But according to this chapter it seems that they had not seen each other in a while and Heero had to call on Mandred, not the other way around. That is the only inconsistency I find, but it still works. I like the working through Heero's feelings, although slow it is still quite progressive. -

Great descriptions. I really do love the way you write Duo and Heero in your stories and this one is no exception. You really do take the reader on a journey.
