Reviews for Love of Potions
excessivelyperky chapter 1 . 7/29/2018
Sadly, Lily doesn't want him...but this is a lovely drabble nevertheless.
KeepCalmAndWriteSomething chapter 1 . 6/26/2015
Fantastic. I really love your characterization of Snape. It's spot on.

Love it! Keep writing!
SiriusMarauderFan chapter 1 . 2/27/2015
This is so cute and fluffy. Potions was always my favorite subject to write about, and I like the way you described it, and what it means to Severus.

Good job! :D
J.F.C chapter 1 . 2/27/2015
Lol, I just can't stop myself from laughing at this little drabble... mainly for two things: One, I actually started to laugh since read the short summary with Severus confession for his love towards his mother's apple pie, and the second reason been that I couldn't stop myself from thinking of the similar scene the movie had of this potion. Just couldn't stop myself from thinking of Hermione through Lily's words and of Harry on Snape's case. Up to the next one.
Lara1221 chapter 1 . 2/26/2015
I read this when you first wrote it! Loved it then, and the second read was even better. I love how this was a much more light hearted Severus story than most, and how you could see the dramatic undertones but Snape's personality was wholley the same. It was really smart starting out with things he loved, and saying how potions was the thing that really brought him happiness, but bringing it around to Lily again.

Fantastic last line, captured the whole piece.
Ralinde chapter 1 . 2/26/2015
This was lovely. I enjoyed this insight into young Severus' mind and I can definitely imagine all of those things you described making him loves Potions so much. I also really liked the friendship with Lily you portrayed, the fact that she follows his advice rather than the textbook - despite her regular stick to the books attitude - wraps it up nicely.
0WolfMoon0 chapter 1 . 2/25/2015
This is a sweet, innocent, lovely little drabble. It makes one smile, because you can just tell that Snape is youthful and still full of joy in what he does rather than being bitter about not being the DADA professor. Excellent work!
NeonDomino chapter 1 . 2/25/2015
Lily always seemed like one to stick by the rules and I like how she followed Severus' advice rather than her textbook.
It's just a shame that he never got to tell her all the things he loved.
Mycroft-mione chapter 1 . 2/23/2015
Aww! So sweet! It's cute how the Half-Blood Prince knows everything about how to speed up Potions, making him very true to character. And your dialogue was so authentic, especially how Lily calls him "Sev". I wish I could write like this! Amazing!
*gets all warm and fuzzy inside*

Laser Lance 720 chapter 1 . 2/23/2015
I can never pass up a young Severus story. There's just something about him that draws my attention. I can't name it, but that attraction was here. And I love every part of this. You created such a touching and sweet piece.
butterflygirly99 chapter 1 . 2/16/2015
Awww, this was really great. I loved how you characterized Severus and the ending was quite lovely. I could really picture his friendship with Lily being exactly like that. I also really enjoyed your description and I really liked your writing style in this piece. Great job!
Fire The Canon chapter 1 . 2/16/2015
Oh, what a nice insight into Severus' mind. I actually really enjoyed this, as I am fairly certain I have a soft spot for SeverusLily, unrequited more so than requited. But I felt my heart warm along with his when she trusted his judgement and did as he suggested. It was kind of sweet.

A very nice look into his mind. Great job!
HermyLuna2 chapter 1 . 1/21/2015
Awwww, *dies from cuteness*. This story made me wonder. Because Lily was, according to Slughorn, the potions prodigy, not Snape. But what if Snape helped Lily more than he cared about his own grades and liked the subject less than dada because it made him remember Lily? This story made me convinced of that. It is super adorable.
Hawkflight7 chapter 1 . 1/20/2015
*throws love onto ending* That was perfect for the two of them. Lily trusting Severus more than the potions book and going with his input on her potion. I like how you made this scene fit to the two of them, changing it a bit as well. And the bit about Sev loving his mother's applied pies. It's too bad she doesn't make them anymore. Poor Sev. But love! Yay! So much love?
