I liked Sharlto Copley's performance as well.
This is shaping up to be an interesting story especially with the little background to Stefan's character.
One forcible aspect that struck me during the movie was his Shakesperean tragic descent into paranoia and madness. When he was conversing with the wings, he was informed of the queens illness yet chose to ignore her. This scene reminded me so much of Macbeth on the eve of the final battle when he was informed of Lady Macbeth's death but was too fargone in self hate and bitterness to care.
I hope this might help with charting Stefan's progress. Good job so far.
