:) great story! this is the beautiful friendship of holmes and watson that i love to read about! such incidents which prove watson's importance in holmes' life and vice-versa have been too few in the books to my liking...but such fanfictions satisfy my taste for such beautiful moments!

That was very beautifully written. I particularly liked the way in which Holmes wondered at the end whether it is worse to have someone willing to risk life and limb to see that he keeps his.

I read this over on LJ, and thought it was just lovely. I adored Watson's sacrifice for Holmes (I can just see him doing something nobly foolish like that), and also Holmes' perspective of coming to realize how much they both mean to the other. You managed a perfect blend of character study and action. An excellent fic all around, although your formatting on seems to be on the fritz! Don't worry, this site has given us all a migraine at one point or another ;)

To fix it, you'll need to download another doc file to this site, without any HTML or other type of LJ formatting - just plain text. Once you've done that, you can preview/edit on , *before* replacing the chapter in your Doc Manager. When it looks nice n' spiffy there, just click on your username on the top right-hand side, got to 'Publish', then 'Manage Stories', click on your fic's title, then 'Content/Chapters', and finally 'Replace/Update Chapter' with the newly uploaded doc. Hope that helps!
