Actually Loki was already in control of Dr. Selvig by the time that this movie starts is because it is revealed in the Thor post credit scene that Erik Selvig was agreeing to work with S.H.E.I.L.D on the Tesseract because Loki wanted him to. So I think that the reason why Loki touched his heart with the scepter is to make it seem that he just gained control over him instead of already being in control. I also think that Loki was seeing through the eyes of the good Doctor.

After the Hulk beating him up incident Loki developed a fear of Bruce Banner as the big guy.

Fortunately for S.H.I.E.L.D they had just the thing to revive him. And look at him now. Director Phil Coulson of the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division.

Fantastic series! are you going to continue with Winter Soldier... it would be interesting to see Melody meeting her Grandfather or at least him finding out about her
