This was an interesting chapter. I liked how you got in every important character's headspace before going on the suicide mission. Plus, the ending of it is really well done. I truly feel Aline's rage and how she feels going into all this. When I wrote her scene upon returning from the 57th (in which I added an event) I could understand what she was going through and did something that, I think, would help in her growth as a person and character. Basically everything is happening so fast to her that it's almost impossible for her to process it all. I liked that aspect about this chapter how quick everything has been happening. Can't wait for the next one.

I was just going to compliment one or two characters but I am just loving these interactions. It really does feel like everyone's the hero of their own story.

Neat chapter. I never realized just how much free time was afforded to the Survey Corps once they realized they can't attack Bert. 2 things; 1. Is Josh getting injured right before or during big battles a running gag? And 2. Boy, Blasa sure is good at fitting impassioned speeches into a few seconds eh?

I'm sure it's kinda rough to find something for characters to do when the spotlight is exclusively on Eren but I think you're doing well here.

Gotta be careful with your continuity man. Remember these people don't know what coffee or oceans are.

Now that we're back in present day, I can't help but wonder since Josh is out of commission what he would say to Bertolt and Reiner in that scene where the main cast talks to them. They didn't interact much from what I remember, but I'm still curious. I'm looking forward to what happens next.

This melancholy that chapters like this bring me great chapter

While I knew this event would change from what happens in the original, I'm surprised it changed this much. If I remember correctly, all the main characters want to go out and search, but something stops them I can't remember exactly what it was atm). I wonder why you decided to omit the part where everyone decides to go search. Anyways, this new direction is still interesting and I wonder how it'll play out and how it relates to the present.

Very well put together chapter. The build up to the end was very well done. I liked how every conversation that was had moved characters arcs forwards while still advancing the plot. Glad to know you're still going at it. I hope the times are in your favor this time around.

Fuck Aline, I know she's having a tough time but come on. Mikasa was reckless by going off on her own, but she knows she can handle anything because by herself she is stronger than multiple squads of regular soldiers (because of spoilers). It was much more reckless to risk the lives of half a dozen regular soldiers just to try and keep her from going off on her own. Besides, if Mikasa handn't gone off on her own, Eren would have been captured, and humanity would have been doomed. And then Aline goes off on her own, sneaking into the fight, having no idea what the battle plan is, and tries to fight Annie 1v1, which is absurdly suicidal for anyone who isn't a titan shifter or an Ackerman. She hates Mikasa for going off on her own against orders and then does the exact same thing. Now she steals Mikasa's moment and starts conflict amongst the scouts based off of her own personal feelings. After what's happened she probably isn't thinking rationally, but if she keeps this up she's going to get a lot of people killed for no reason.
