My first review in this fandom and judging by the quality of this fic not the last. Great work, sadly so short! And I see your point about Damien, not once in the books I ever thought him a fool for binding himself to the Hunter.

I loved this wonderful piece of introspection b/c I think Damien's completely right about Gerald's reasons and all. Is that just me or is the ending rather ambiguous and could be seen as manipulation on Damien's part?
