Well that made me cry. A very good story, not a happy one, but one that rings true.

You know ever since I read this story a year or two ago it has been in my head ever since I keep trying to figure out what would have happened if he had return to the archipelago with Hans as an alley and him rescuing the archipellago which either includes a life long secret,them seeking help from him,spitelout being alive,him using explosive powder or him not getting bannished at all instead dissapearin or faking his death or protect Astrid's child end conclusion: your story is really magneticly stuck in my mind...good job :D

Please make a spinoff with an alternate happy ending. Please

Even after all the things he's done, and made Toothless do, my heart still breaks at the idea that Hiccup, after he realizes just what a horrible, messed up personne became, was abandoned by the two beings he trusted above absolutely everyone. That would be a death by heartbreak right there.

Well, that set the tone pretty well for the rest of the fic. I'm not really a fan of full on conqueror or sociopaths, but I'll just keep reading while trying to not get too invested in the story, otherwise I'll just put myself off a pretty well-written story.

I never expected you to paint Hiccup as vengeful or enraged enough to murder his uncle. Especially after he started to beg: his mercy had been what started Hiccup on this whole path, after all.
And in a more logical way, he just single handedly murdered any hope of dragons being seen as anything more than trained attack dogs at the very best. Which is a juuuuust a bit of a problem.

*Hiss* Damn, I don't want to be in his shoes right now. Waking up after the deal is traumatic enough, having to chop it up and deal with it by yourself? People goes into shock when that happens.
That must have been one confusing raid all right, and Berkians must be freaking out pretty badly if they have lost most of their weapons.

This was one of the best fanfiction ever! Your take on the story was genius , the way hiccup slowly descended into madness , the tyranny and then then the redemption! Utterly beautiful and heartbreaking I feel so conflicted in the worst and best way. And the way that he forever discovered who his mother was , I'm torn between brilliant and how dare you! You have real back for story telling but now you've destroyed the organ I once called a heart. I couldn't stop I read and finished it in on day! So thank you and curse you.

I just have a small quiry does Astrid or any one but the dragons know hiccup lost his leg?Also has hiccup become some kind of tyrannical overlord because he seems pretty calm in this chapter?

I have to said that this was a interesting and sad story. Even that I don't like to read sad stories this one keep me on it until the end. And even that I didn't like to read a Evil Hiccup, this story was well done, to bad that have a sad ending, but at lest You din't make Astrid to kill Hiccup and that was good. so tank you.

Jajaja, I don't think hiccup can be more as a jerk and evil. But this is getting worse. I don't even know how Astrid can life with a man like that.

Ok, so Hiccup is a bad guy here? That seems very odd, and as this story is old. I don't expected any answer to any question in here.

Okay this story look like a nice and interest one. But the last part when Hiccup is cutting his own leg it seems a little unreal.
