I usually don't like OC stories but your Isobel is full of character and complements Spock extremely well. This is a well thought-out theme and you tell it in an engaging manner.
There are a few snafus - why would a busy captain be expected to welcome everyone who enters the bridge with 'Welcome aboard'? They're already on the ship. And the Prime Directive applies to contact with non-warp planets, not to working colleagues on a starship.
Otherwise this has great potential, not the least watching Kirk and Bones implode - possibly Uhura too!

Really hoping you plan on updating. I'm interested in seeing T'pring and Spock's father meeting with Isobel. I'm also curious at the reaction Nyota will have upon finding out about the pregnancy.
