   RedHatMeg chapter 14 . 3/27/2019 I personally thing that the sword fight scene is a supposed to be a short moment of innocence before Bruce goes back to his investigation. IT's also one of the scenes where "The Oath of Horatii" shows in the background and I have a theory that whenever in S1 it shows up, it's symbolizes the reminder of oaths and obligations made in Wayne Manor - Gordon's promise to Bruce that he will find Waynes' killer; Alfred's obligation to take care of Bruce and Bruce's inner need to learn about the secrets of Wayne Enterprises. The sword fight scene is Alfred's way of trying to make Brcue act like a child and for a moment he succeeds. Bruce smiles, but "The Oath of Horatii" is behind him. And remember - the Horatii are making a vow to his father that they will do what's necessery or they will die trying. So Bruce is happy for a moment but he will soon have to go back to what he needs to do. |

I think it has even bled onto other things, even ones that aren't related to Gotham. So, fair warning, I might cave and make shameless requests. I guess it's because your work has such wonderful, poignant beauty to it, I cannot help but want to see the rest of creation painted through your words.
