Oh, yes, this is great! And in almost any sane village, a man raising a child alone, who works hard, who doesn't drink or beat his wife-well, he's marriage bait. Surprised he hasn't been surrounded by widows and daughters with no other prospect of husbands by now.

But yes, he deserves Belle, and Belle deserves him (your Belle, anyway).

This story was lol funny and yet alittle sad

I love this. I hope a sequel is made where Bae, who married Emma (who was raised in her birth realm) and had Henry, confronts Milah about her failure as a mother and mocks her by saying how she'll never know her grandson and how Henry will never know who Milah is.

I liked this story and it is a great example of what can go wrong when we neglect the people we love. It was good to see Rumple standing up to Milah and letting her pursue her own life-he and Bae are better off without her. And I liked the touch of Belle being the healer who helped Baelfire. Well done.

Rumple should have "gotten his house in order" in the show. The whole "burden of being the town cowards wife" thing doesn't excuse Milah's actions in any way, especially for ditching her son the way she did.

I like what you did here. Yes, should just kick Milah off earlier. I cringed when in the show Milah left Bae unattended with open fire. Not to mention there could be werewolves or ogres around. Also glad that his hand will heal. At least Belle appreciated both Rumple and Bae.
Hook and Milah should just go away together and never come back in the show.

Sorry, you just screwed up...now there's another story that I want more of. Doh! Yeah, I know you've already got a lot of other stories to keep up with. *pout* This was great! Really anything could have happened to Baelfire while that selfish woman left him alone. And I love Rumple telling her just where to get off. Someday, if you ever get the time, I would like to know what happens from this point with Rumple and Belle. I kind of like from a literary stand point, that Belle has no family, thus I could imagine a story where Rumple and Belle come together trying to create a new family from their broken pieces.
Anyway, very well done!

Milah got what she deserved. There is no way I could ever feel sorry for someone who dug her own grave. Despite what she and the village believed Rum was no coward. Yes his crippled and lame but he still worked to provide food, clothes and shelter. He could have become a drunk spending all his time drinking in the Pub.

Are you going to write a follow up with Belle and Rumplestiltskin getting together? I loved this story and would love to read more!
