Oh my GOD! I loved it all! I started reading the story today and I couldn't stop reading until I finished it. Everything was perfect, the character development the tension; you are a true artist. I hope you continue to write more fanfiction on Ai no Kusabi even if it's been years though. I'm definitely starting the sequel you wrote but I could not continue without letting you know how much I enjoyed it and thank you for taking the time to create this.

I loved this story!

The only thing I could say after reading your story its a great "thank you". It was wonderful. English its not my native language but I was able to enjoy every sentence. The plot was very interesting and I loved your characters as much as I love the original ones. You are a great writer.

Gaah! How could I forget to mention this when I literally just read it in the last chapter?! But your representation of Jupiter was a nice twist. Jupiter seemed so cold and impersonal in the OVAs, so I like what you did with that character in your story. Like how Jupiter is a computer eager for data, and how it might actually be trying to sympathize with humans because it was originally created by humans... and also Jupiter's role in helping Iason to understand Riki's circumstances, that was just... two thumbs up. Iason really needed that lesson, otherwise their relationship can't even begin to approach equal.

Argh, I did forget to mention something. I liked the insight into Riki's childhood and how his relationship developed with Guy. I was not expecting that in this story, but I like how it shed light on their relationship and I'm glad you didn't vilify Guy in the end. Guy's character didn't give me any special feelings in the OVAs as I was too focused on Riki and Iason when I watched the show, but I just like that you didn't bash his character. Oh, and the way you tried to dive into Orphe's psyche concerning Riki, that was also an interesting bit to read.

OMG! I binged read this story within a 24 hour period. I can't even think straight after that marathon read, but I love what you did in this story.

I've only ever watched the OVAs so I don't know the story from the novels. The OVAs were hot, but from reading your story I deduced that the OVAs left out some parts from the story, or at least glossed over them, which I am glad for as I probably would not have enjoyed the OVAs as much had they included stuff like physical beatings during Riki's "training" montage. And you even gave a warning in chapter one saying that you made Iason SOFTER than he was in the novels. I am SO glad that you did, because even in a fantasy story I do not like it when one party brutalizes the other. I've considered reading the novels, but I don't think I will now, especially since you've written such a wonderful version of the story that I want to take it for canon instead.

I understand that Riki and Iason's relationship dynamics and their societal structure will naturally lead to some problematic elements especially for someone who grew up with sensibilities from our 21st century world, but I can't help being a hopeless romantic and I enjoy a relationship with mutual respect. Despite my personal preferences, I really appreciate what you did with this story, the way you conveyed both characters' internal struggles and why their personalities and societal norms prevented them from having a healthy relationship. Their push and pull was so delicious and heartbreaking, but also frustrating as many times I wanted to reach into the story and sit these characters down for some therapy, but thanks to the skillful way you handled it I never felt annoyed by the characters despite my frustrations.

Poor Katze, the ever suffering soul, I think he was like a representation of my feelings as I watched Riki and Iason's relationship unfold. I also enjoyed Mimea in your story, she seems to be mature and has a leveled head despite her narrowed upbringing. Kanin was a character that I took a surprising liking to, he's interesting to say the least and the way he spoke about Iason needing his head checked, lol. Cal is adorable. Raoul is also a well written character.

I hope I didn't miss anything else in this review, but if I forgot to mention something, just know that I love this story.

Just started to read it! I saw the remake of Ai no Kusabi last year and I haven't been ablte to take it out of my brain since then! I have thought many times how they needed more development in the exact time you are writting about, so It's just as if my wishes are becoming true! Thank you so much for writting this, it helps to cope with the lack of completition on the second part of the Remake. You are describing the development of their story very much like I think it should have been, it is amazing!

Kyahhh This is just a very Wonderfully & Beautifully wrote story! The ending is so sweet and satisfying! I'm really happy with what you did to Guy.
