Wow I hope you update this again soon. This was such a wonderful first two chapters. Love the war backdrop. There's such mystery and i can't wait to read more. I liked that you started in medias res, you don't see that too often in stories and it's really refreshing and it really made me look forward to reading about how Caryl met and how they will go from that first chapter. A job well done -well written, very fluid and natural. Thanks for sharing!

I love this like you wouldn't believe. I have this almost weird obsession with WWII and Vietnam so this is right down my alley. Both my fathers and quite a few of my uncles were involved with the conflict. My Marine dad was the only one who would talk about it, how it was when he came back and how the people treated the soldiers, how generally against the war the American populace was.

Sorry about the life story there, haha. It's just my way of expressing how this hits me right in the feels

I love this. I love that Carol sent him his letter back and told him she didn't accept it. And she loves him. This works really well as a one-shot. But I do hope you decide to write a little more. Maybe where he gets to come home and they get to meet. Great job.
