the 2 bangs that ruby's opponent felt were
The 1st bang was i think was the sonic boom as Ruby went through the sound barrier.
The 2nd bang was the pressure wave catching up to Ruby when she was standing still.

One noticeable typo. While Blake is thinking "home" instead of "hopes" they don't discover Faunus. Other than that interesting take on RWBY.

Okay..so far I LOVE the story and thouroughly enjoy it.
A few things that pester me, however are that you don't seem to proof-read your text, names sometimes in capital letters, sometimes not; a few writing mistakes here and there and so on.
I think it would greatly benefit the reading experience if you gave it a go at fixing that in the future :P

I loved the fighting scene, and the how long the chapter is. I don't think the teacher would let Ruby off with just that, and I wasn't bad luck Ray found out, it was because Ruby basically told him.
