Nice story, I would have included the scene with Edward getting the bullet for Charlie (3rd party telling isn't at strong).

Also, I don't mind Alice not ending up with Jasper, but why making her seem crazy I find a little childish. If that happened to Bella and she would call Edward incessantly, she would probably be considered determined...

How young are Alice & Bella? Are they still in High School?
What did she expect from Edward? He wanted a quick fuck and that's what she gave him.

Awww, that was a cute ending. I like that he fixed his shit and they are still going strong two years later. It was great that you added the conversation he had with his mom, then Charlie a the hospital. And, the one with Jasper about cuckoo Alice. I hope that she got better after and can mark it off as being too young to handle that kind of love. Some can, as Bella did. Some cannot, as witnessed with Alice. If she was even only a little tipsy, why the hell was she going to drive? Or, did she only have a couple drinks and somebody drugged her, without her knowing they did? All of that was very strange. At least Edward and Charlie went fishing together and tried to bond. Bella is right, jealousy in relationships is so wrong. It will kill the relationship. I loathe jealousy and find it such a wasted emotion. If you love someone to your fullest, and they you, then you're secure in your place with them and should never get jealous.

Jasper is still in a snit over all of this. Seems he said enough to piss off Edward, if he came home a slammed the front door. Esme was kind. I disagree that she advised Bella to not tell Charlie but, I can see her reasoning behind her choice. It was good to learn that Bella got into Oregon State. I wonder what Edward will do now with his company since that was his last assignment to do high school undercover work?

I wonder if Edward filled in Esme on what transpired over the summer. If she knows that these two fell in love and thought they'd never see one another again. I seriously think that Bella needs to confess to knowing Edward as a summer fling, let him blow his top and then he may come around again. It would fill in a lot of blanks for Charlie. It would help him understand better. He may be angry with Bella but, she needs to tell him. I am so glad that Alice pulled her head out of her ass and apologized to Bella. Bella did not deserve what Alice did to her. Not one bit. Bella was hurting too and she needed Alice. Hopefully, things get better for Edward and Bella now. At least the case is done. How sad that Billy, Harry and Jake were behind it all. Sam is dead now, as a result. What will Lauren do to Bella when she learns this?

Well, that was a much better chapter. I hope that Jasper breaking up with Alice does not make Alice say anything she knows about. She seems to be as put off by drugs as Bella is, so I hope we don't need to worry about her getting hurt by those drugs that are killing people. With Edward and Bella proceeding with the public breakup, that should appease Alice slightly. Maybe Jasper needs time to wrap his brain around things, just like Edward did.

So, this is Charlie's overprotective ass' fault. Well, she is eighteen and can leave home permanently at any time. It would put a strain between her and her father but, she already leads a double life, as he doesn't know she isn't as innocent as she pretends. If she would give up the act of innocence and let Charlie stew about her non-innocence, she may be able to have her cake and eat it too. She could even go so far as to tell him about the summer and how she met Edward then, under false pretenses. She has to tell her dad the truth, in order to come out the other side with Edward.

How in the hell did Bella screw up their investigation? She only helped them. What idiots. I am guessing Edward does not have a very good closing record with his job, if he gives up that easily. It is pretty pathetic that he let his feeling for Bella stop this case. I am back to not liking your Edward at all, on the principle of him being weak. Charlie yelling at Bella like that was awful. Especially in front of everyone. Edward, the sick fuck, probably was thrilled that daddy yelled at her. Dick.

That prologue popped in here and it hurt Bella a lot. Alice too. And, point to Swan. Take THAT Agent Cullen! He would've never have been able to infiltrate without her help. Sam would've kicked his ass and sent him home without a thought.

Well, unfortunately for him, girls that age being treated like that do drastic things. She may turn to the very drug he is seeking out, just to escape. She said she doesn't understand people that use drugs but, she's not been this depressed before. Edward being silent on why he is there, will backfire on him and Charlie both. Charlie should be telling Bella about the drug going around. I think he mentioned it in a phone call but, he needs to keep telling her about it.

Well, that went as expected. It will get a whole lot worse when Charlie finds out Bella is familiar with Edward.

Didn't see that coming. Makes sense on his 'contract work' though. She could ruin his whole operation by telling the kids at school that he is really twenty-four. She wouldn't, because she is her father's daughter but, she could really mess with him as well. I think his anger is most likely at himself, more than her. Yes, she lied. However, not all of his anger is all her. He is at fault there too.

Well, they did end it there. Even though it seems that he was willing to try, which means he was starting to fall for her. She definitely fell for him. Thank you for the clarification on her age. Nearly eighteen and going into senior year makes much more sense. And, she was/is of age for Washington. He has no idea that she is only seventeen though. That is where it will get crunchy. If he seeks her out via text or phone call, her age is her weakness. She won't be able to say no, if he wants to pursue her, as none of us at seventeen could've done it either at that age. Catch twenty-two. If she was older, she'd be able to stand her ground better, as we learn how to do that with age. However, if she were older, this would be a moot point, as she would be free to pursue him and not living with her dad.
