I think I know the story you're referring to, and I feel the same way about the ending. Part of what makes the story so powerful is what the family has to overcome in order to finally be happy.

Anyways, great work here! There are too few fics that examine the family unit as a whole, and get right to the heart of the issue! I kind of felt like Natsue was dodging a bit by blaming everything on the possession though, but I like that she apologized for her actions anyway.
