I honestly just want to thank you so much for writing this story. If the other inmates did not know any details about Morello before she was incarcerated, they would view her as a sweet, optimistic, innocent girl, but you show the true pain and confusion she faces, as well as the toll it takes on Nicky. I have personally dealt with a situation like this and you have captured the feelings, Nicky's and Lorna's, perfectly. You show the struggle and heartbreak Nicky goes through trying to save Lorna and the devastation of her not feeling like she's good enough, and on the other side, you have Lorna's illness and the guilt and shame she feels when reality sets in and she sees what she's done. This moved me to tears from beginning to end, not only was the content upsetting, but the insight and perspective was so spot on. I seriously want to thank you, for anyone who has ever had to deal with watching a loved one go through such a thing, or even be the one experiencing the chaos, this was breath-taking. Thank you.

Wow...That was seriously heartbreaking to read Especially the last part. I love how Nicky stands by her no matter what. Mental illness is a topic that needs to be addressed more. As much as I love happy Lorna, this is possibly a sad reality. Beautifully written.
