This was really good! I especially liked how you wrote Curlys thoughts as he was being beat up, how the adreneline makes everything you feel magnified. The scene was just really well done so good job :)
Ah I love Curly and Tim. If this was a one-shot, i loved it. If youre thinking about writing more, go for it!

I like the story. I kinda have soft spot for the Sheperds, and you did a good job bringing out that Tim would show up for Curly, no matter what, 'cause being brothers counts.
But. You really need to get a handle on the point of view of your characters. When you go from telling the story in Curly's first person to Curly's third person to Tim's first person, it's hard for your readers to know who's talking. It's confusing for us. If you need help on the POV thing, google it, there's lots of good articles.
I'll be interested to read more stories from you.
