Great chapter, at first i thought it was just the same as it always was, (which is still enjoyable) until i got to gohan's breakdown, that was very well done. A bit of angst but he's still trying to see things clearly, past his recent anger while trying to be fair, and also considerate of trunks. Great scene.

and don't take this the wrong way, but this feels like a chapter that could have come out two years ago.
I mean when stories like this have a long hiatus a lot of times the writing style, word choice etc. are different to where it almost feels like 2 different stories.

I'm saying its improved, but the tone/characterization all still matches so the continuation felt seamless.

Chi-Chi is pretty out of character, yes she is a hard ass but in cannon Gohan never showed any desire to train. I honestly don't think Chi-Chi would be this mindlessly belligerent if Gohan actually expressed a desire to do something.

Another nice long chapter, I’m glad you’ve decided to not only update, but confirm that this story isn’t dead yet and there’s still a lot more to continue writing about, since this is still years before the buu saga there’s so many possibilities that this story can go in multiple directions with tons of material to go thru, with Gohan so much mature now and with the responsibility of taking care of pan, the future looks bright.

Chichis response broke my heart. As did Gohan's rant. He has a point, but I'm glad he's keeping the door open. I do hope Chichi will meet him halfway. Parenting isn't as black and white as people make it out to be. You blunder along and hope for the best mostly.

Will there be a time skip soon? And I hope you're not going to send Gohan to High School. Seems silly since he already has a job and doesn't need the topics they discuss there. Might be fun to send Pan to school though..

You could have super trunks be a tangent parallel timeline

It definitely was worth the wait. Though if you told the me of two years ago that the next update was going to be waaaay later, I may have been a bit disappointed. Just a tad.
Anyways, the interactions between the characters, especially Gohan and Mirai, were very alive. As in it wasn't just about progressing plot, upgrading someone's powers, or any of that. It was just two heavily weighed people talking about their pasts. While it seems like Mirai was helping Gohan by letting him unload the issues with his parents, Gohan was in a way helping Mirai as well. Mirai Trunks always felt like a dead weight to his Master until the very end of Mirai Gohan's life. Seeing the troubles that the present Gohan is struggling with and being able to listen and help him talk about it... I think it would have helped resolve Mirai Trunks' pains.
Thank you for including those scenes. More than just clever plot twists or the likes, scenes like these that hit people's hearts and give more depths and insight to characters is what truly pulls people into the story.
Also, I love the shenanigans that the Z-Fighters go through. And making Chiaotzu relevant was awesome. And nice touch on present Bulma's teasing with girls. It's exactly what mothers would say, and it also hints Mai from DBS. 9.5/10, awesome!

Rereading was a great trip down memory lane. If you wanted a way to get away from addingthe future timeline back into the story, you could pretty confidently argue that Trunks already having ssj 2 early would give him enough of a head start so his Majin Bu scenario doesn’t end in Shin and by conjunction Berrus dying. Then all Trunks has to do is stall long enough for Shin to warn Whis that multiverse level threat is about. Just food for thought. I can’t wait to see how everyone progresses. The humans can stop focusing on being the strongest and focus on increases technique and skills. Piccolo is kinda in a middle of the road position where I guess he could go either way. Also again welcome back

I read all eighteen chapters, and loved every minute of it. This entire thing is beautiful. Even if I takes time, I am happy for this wonderful story.
