| Someone the World Forgot chapter 2 . 9/3/2015 These types of fanfictions (eg. characters from (insert book title here) read (insert same title here)) are not allowed. The book is the author's property and you are committing plagiarism by copying and pasting it into the fanfic. I'm sorry, but you must take it down. Legal matters and stuff. You are basically taking the author's story and calling it your own, regardless of whether or not you wrote a disclaimer. In fact, it is stated in the fanfiction guidelines that we must not write these types of fanfictions (eg. Percy Jackson reads Sea of Monsters - I know that this is the Abandon fandom, but I couldn't resist because I love PJO a lot :D). "Copying from a previously published work (including musical lyrics) not in the public domain." Public domain Anything that was previously published in the last 100 years or so (I think), as well as if the author had passed on in the last 70 years. I think. So, yeah ... anything before Anne of Green Gables is in the public domain, such as Shakespeare, Oliver Twist, etc. You have to take this fanfiction down, or drastically change it.
