This is so amazing! That ending scene was just brilliant because it is do horribly sad buy it also leaves just a little hope because we all know Erik has a will of iron...pun slightly intended. It is wonderful though, the way you just place us in the emotion of each character. Their pain, guilt, grief, confusion, and wishes for better. I also adored the moments between Erik and raven, most of all when she broke him out and their short banter, most of all his instant willingness to jump in.

Creepy...but SO good. I must admit I'm both partial to Charles womp and dark Charles. Throw in a sad Erik and this just made it to my favorite stories list.

Yeesh, I can hardly believe Trask turned humanity's best chance for peace against them. Bet he feels stupid...or he would if he knew what he did. I hope Charles makes him think he's a newt for the rest of his life.

This was marvelous. You captured each character so well, and the emotion was beautiful. This is one of the most well-written stories I've read for this fandom. The ending was wonderfully fitting, as well. Well done!

I like how it ends on a message of hope. Charles without his boundaries is a terrifying thing.

I really liked how you kept everybody in character - especially Erik. I thought you had him down perfectly. Charles too - I mean, he was different and broken and really kind of heartbreaking, but it felt real. He didn't feel grossly out of character, it just felt like this is what happened and this is how he is now. And I absolutely love how you are able to do that. You handle characters so perfectly - it's awesome. :)

And that last line was just... *happiness* - it was really good. I love these two.
