I’m also confused as to how Naruto lets the villagers beat him nearly to death and he’s happy about it because it makes him happy, but then when a guy tries to kidnap someone he’s suddenly the scum of the Earth and deserves to be destroyed. It’s confusing

This story would be great if Naruto’s attitude wasn’t so annoying and if it made sense. I mean wtf, being happy that people beat you up because it makes them happy? That doesn’t make any sense. And how exactly did he get so loyal to Konoha if he’s been treated like trash his whole life there? Not a flame just real questions

Nezumi steeled himself, ANBU didn't cry." I seriously had the urge to LOL when I read this. Why is Naruto surprised that other people treat him like trash, when he treats himself as trash? I'm not sure how many more chapters I can stomach. His hyperbolic level of pureness and goodness shatter my willing suspension of disbelief. What sane person can believe that a pre-teen of already mid-level kage power and skill will willingly serve a polity that has done nothing to earn his loyalty?

My thoughts on the opening chapter aren't favourable, to say the least. The amount of hypocrisy and Stockholm syndrome are amazing. Naruto is happy to be the villagers' literal punching bag, yet he doesn't extend this "privilege" to the almost kidnapped Hyuuga child. In fact, why not change the form of abuse to rape? I'm sure Naruto will be just as happy and accepting of this form of violation as getting beaten and tortured.

I'll make a final decision once I've read a few more chapters, only because this story has 4k in both follows and favourites.

There are many good HP fanfics that uts almost unreal. One of my personal favourite is the denarian series by shezza. That author was one awesome dude! I think he's a dude... and then there was this book I read recently a HP/ES crossover fic that was pretty awesome. But there are so many people that get into the cliche of HP that it's becoming repetitive. Marriage contracts has been severely overdone! HP and the elementals was another awesome book. There are so many books out there. You just have to poke in the right places for them to come out... lol!
