I am guessing Hizashi only lost an arm because the beaten up Hanabi was offered as further proof of Cloud's wrongdoing.

I get the feeling Hanabi will be named as heir having shown ninja skill and bravery here. Though it sounds like the parents may end up divided over the issue of their children; Hanabi may be about to be groomed as an heir. I wonder if Hinata will be sent away from the main family if branded?
