I thought I had left a review when this fic was first posted but silly me didn't bother to look at the reviews section to see if it had actually gone in which is frustrating because THIS FIC DESERVES SO MUCH LOVE.

And I do love it. I love the interactions that Utena has with Mai and Natsuki, the whole kindred spirits thing they seem to have going on, the way the answers to the mysteries surrounding her past and current life are just barely out of reach... ugh, I love this story to bits.

Interesting crossover. Always a pleasure reading your work!
DezoPenguin chapter 1 . 6/23/2014
I...just don't know what to say. It's a lovely coda to both series, a crossover with no meaning other than that the emotions it offers, the connections between people (Mai and Utena, for example, are in many ways such different people, yet at their core in some way so similar, where each is a driven caretaker for those around her, but each follows a discrete model of what that means, where Utena is the prince and Mai the mother...), and the warmth of things completed. Yet at the same time it sings out for more, somehow, so that I had to go and double-check that yes, indeed, the "Complete" tag was sitting at the top. Not "more" from the sense of unfinished story, but rather "more" of the sense of unfinished lives, that it's all building to something, rather than winding down and settling into place...

Anyway, it was a great read, and isn't that what counts? _
