I much prefer this ending to the sad way the story ended in history. Beautiful.

Your story expresses exactly what I'd wanted to happen at Alexander's death! A sad moment, apparently, but really the most tender in the life of both Alexander and Hephaistion. Thanks for writing it so well!

This is a most beautiful and worthy tribute to Alexander - and of course Hephaestion, too. It is both sad and deeply moving as the Olympians remember a whole life of Love and Friendship. I am glad that Alexander is young and healthy and in Elysium with his Dear One, eternally.

I loved this! All these stories told by the gods, was very exciting. And at the same time sad because we know that Alexander is on his deathbed. And much I loved the part where Hephaestion appears and hugs. There were so many feelings there. And I like to think so, are together for all eternity. Thanks for sharing this.

So touching - the gods awaiting with Alexander as death approaches and brings Hephaistion to him to ease him along. I loved the way you have Hephaistion hug Alexander into death. I hope Alexander truly found his Beloved awaiting him when he took his last breath. Lysis
