Oh my gosh... you're right, this made me cry... (it didn't help that I was also listening to sad music) But at the same time it's so sweet :)))
Itachi's letter is so honest and heart-breaking, I can truly imagine him writing it to Sakura. I'm glad that Sakura didn't marry Sasuke (he could never replace Itachi), but accepted him in her life as an important figure for her son. Also, it's good that she left the village. True, Tsunade and her friends aren't responsible for the Elders' crimes, but they would never have understood Riko, nor the relatioship Sakura had with his father. With this ending, everything comes to a full circle, and Sakura can have some form of happiness, and Riko as well. I do feel sorry that Itachi will never know the feeling of being a father... but that's the realistic side of it all.

i can't smile properly without shedding a few happy & sad tears. Truly hit the spot with this story, Sakura is strong to carry on but then again Itachi would have expected that of her to carry on her life and still be happy even though he knows she'll have a void in her life that no other man would fulfill, except for her love to her son of course. What Sasuke said to her when she was next to Itachi after their fight made no sense whatsoever but I'm glad he came to understand that everything his brother did, was all for the good for story, 10/10 for this two-shot.

I loved the story and both chapters ! It was bitter sweet till the end and I loved the outcomes.
