This was really good; a wonderful study on how you will always support the one you love regardless of the decisions they choose to make, a point which was articulated very well. I hope WWE do as good a job of explaining Seth's motivations for leaving the Shield as you did :)

Oh, oh, my goodness. This was *perfect*.

I was contemplating writing a Kaitlyn/Seth myself, but this just blew anything I could ever attempt to write out of the water. Like...the emotion you brought through in this was just amazing. It's really interesting how differently you approached this fic than the others I've seen. It was just a calm - and yet still emotionally charged - discussion, with Kaitlyn showing that she was going to stand by Seth, no matter what.

This whole story had a very intimate vibe to it. You could tell in your writing that the two understood each other and had been through a lot in their relationship and just wanted the best for each other. It was really big of Kaitlyn to listen to Seth before jumping to any conclusions - and when she told Seth to look out for himself? Gah, perfect.

Also, thank you so much for mentioning me in the author's notes! And the fact that you decided to include the little tie-in to my fic is very flattering! It really means so much! You're awesome!

I really enjoyed reading this. Very well written. I'm also disappointed about The Shield breaking up but I see why Seth would want to break away from them. I also loved how you wrote him...the anger mixed with sadness...he was really torn with how things ended :( At least Seth had Kaitlyn to support him all the way, which was lovely.

the beauty of this is that it's real and raw, and just pulls you in with all the emotion that's swirling around these people, especially seth in the aftermath of something so devastating.

i liked the inclusion of the roman/renee angle from dashinginconverses story, it added depth.

seth's reasoning, as painful as it was to read, rang true. he felt like he needed to break out and stand on his own, to get what he feels he deserves and the only way to do it, was by doing something as drastic as this.

kaitlyn standing by him is what he needs. because as much as we believe that roman and dean are in pain, and they are, seth is as well. so i liked how she just took him at his word and stayed, instead of being angry and leaving him alone.

great job on this.
